Rose Gan
Meet Rose.
Rose works with youth and young adults to support them with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and challenges with relationships and communication. By listening with empathy, she aims to create a safe space for individuals to better understand themselves and to develop coping skills. Rose uses a client-centered approach, which means that she believes that the client knows themselves best and the therapy room is a space to access their inner wisdom. We all have unique experiences that have shaped our perception of ourselves, others, and the world around us. Rose will work to understand each client’s experience to provide individualized and meaningful therapy. She recognizes that the healing process is not linear and there is no timeline. When working with Rose, she will meet you where you are at with compassion and without judgement.
As a registered occupational therapist and psychotherapist, Rose works within a holistic frame and recognizes the deep connection between mind and body. She has previously worked in both the hospital and community sectors with individuals of all ages. Along with providing individual counselling, she also has experience developing and facilitating group therapy focusing on emotional regulation, anger management, and life skills. Rose draws on a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, Relational Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
