Wojtek Wolski
Meet Wojtek.
Wojtek has an incredibly unique story. He was born in Poland in 1986, his family then escaped communism and became refugees in Germany. After almost 2 years in several camps, his family was fortunate enough to receive sponsorship to immigrate to Canada. Wojtek grew up in Toronto with his brother and parents. He was a talented athlete and eventually was drafted to the NHL in 2004. He spent 8 seasons in the NHL, 7 playing in the KHL and represented Team Canada in the 2018 Winter Olympics where he won a bronze medal.
In 2016 , Wojtek broke his neck in two places during a game while playing in Russia. Faced with extreme circumstances, Wojtek was able to use the goal of playing in the Olympics as motivation to help him overcome the circumstances that he was faced with. Wojtek possesses an incredible ability to overcome obstacles and persevere when faced with adversity. Wojtek has lived all over the world, residing in Poland, Germany, Canada, USA, Russia,China, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. This has allowed him to experience many different cultures and perspectives which has contributed to his personal growth.
Retiring in 2020, Wojtek now resides in Toronto. He is a father of three and is expecting a fourth child in 2022. Currently he is teaching hockey skills development, and working with athletes on and off the ice to help them achieve their goals.
Wojtek is an entrepreneur, investor, and Limited Partner on several Real Estate projects.
Coaching Philosophy.
Wojtek focuses on helping clients continually expand what they believe to be possible – for their goals, and ultimately their lives. He draws from his life experience as a professional athlete, Olympian, but also someone who has battled depression, failure, disappointment and continually overcome it. Wojtek has been faced with many obstacles and believes that overcoming adversity has been one of the most important learning experiences of his life. Wojtek emphasizes the importance of a growth mindset instead of one of comfort. He is a strong advocate for his clients and challenges them to reimagine what they are truly capable of.
